History:
The 2000 season will mark
the 39th campaign at Dodger
Stadium. This historic stadium
has played host to the 1980
All-Star game and the Olympic
Games' baseball competition
in 1984. In 1991, the stadium
hosted the Opening ceremonies
for the United States Olympic
Festival and later that summer
showcased the top amateur
baseball players from around
the world in the second annual
International Baseball Association
World All-Star Game. The stadium
was built by Dodger owner
Walter O'Malley in Chavez
Revine, which overlooks downtown
Los Angeles.
