Can Rangers and Giants Derail Another Yankees Phillies World Series?

We’re into the Championship Series round and MLB betting fans know that there is not going to be any hiding behind a five-game series anymore. So does that mean that the underdogs – the Texas Rangers and San Francisco Giants – will be exposed?
- San Francisco Giants @ Philadelphia Phillies
Everyone knows that the Philadelphia Phillies have the pitching to get the job done. With Roy Halladay, Cole Hamels and Roy Oswalt, few teams in the National League have the pitching to match up. But if there is one team that does, the Giants are definitely the one.
With Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain and Jonathan Sanchez, the Giants have three stellar starters that at least come close.
The real problem for San Francisco is three-fold:
1. They don’t have home field advantage.
2. The Phillies have a significant edge in experience.
3. The Phillies are a much better hitting team.
It may come as a surprise to some that the Phillies hit just four more home runs than the Giants in the regular season but make no bones about it. Would you rather have a lineup with Juan Uribe, Buster Posey and Pablo Sandoval as your main bats? Or would you rather Chase Utley, Ryan Howard and Jason Werth?
This is going to be a big challenge for the Giants and don’t expect them to pass it.

- New York Yankees @ Texas Rangers
If you like runs, there should be plenty of them in the 2010 ALCS.
Both teams have solid lineups but it’s once again the Yankees who seem to have the edge. The Rangers boast a good order but it’s hard to match the Yankees batter-for-batter when the likes of Robinson Cano and Nick Swisher are hitting the ball like they are. On top of that, they are a bit more rested and when it comes to closers, they have the edge.
Don’t forget: the Yankees are the wild card entry so they don’t have home field advantage in this series. In some ways, though, that might help them. If the Yankees can do what they did in the first round, which is steal a game or two, the Rangers may have their backs up against the wall. And because the Rangers first-round series went the distance, baseball betting cappers should be very weary that the Yankees could again be up 2-0 heading back to the Bronx.
They’ll face C.J. Wilson in Game 1, who allowed 23 base runners in 14.1 innings pitched against the Yankees this season. With Lee finishing off Game 5 on Tuesday, he may not be able to pitch until Game 3.
The bottom line is that while the Rangers are happy to be here, the Yankees are the experienced squad that knows how to get the job done.
